ADRIAN CHAMBERS

Adrian left school in 1978 to join a local firm of Solicitors as an office junior. He attended evening classes to study for a degree part time and was awarded an L.L.B. (Hons) in 1985.In 1986 Adrian qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and in 1988 Adrian then qualified as a Solicitor. In 1987 Adrian joined Seatons and in 1993 he became a Partner in the firm.

Adrian specialises in Personal Injury claims and Wills and Estates work. Adrian has been a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel since 1995. Adrian has a friendly and positive attitude to life and work. He likes to work hard, fight and go the extra mile for his clients.

PAUL SEATON

Paul graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Legal Studies at Nottingham Trust Polytechnic in 1976. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1979. Prior to qualifying Paul gained experience in the Legal Department of a Local Authority and private practice as part of the degree course.

Paul moved to Corby in 1977 to do two years articles/training with a local solicitor specialising in Matrimonial Law. Paul began practicing in Corby in his own right in June 1983 specialising in Criminal Law and Conveyancing.

SARAH CHAN

Sarah joined Seatons in January 1994 as a qualified Legal Executive. She later studied part time at De Montfort University in Leicester to obtain her Post-Graduate Diploma with commendation in Legal Practice. Sarah qualified as a Solicitor in November 1998. She has eighteen years experience in the Legal Profession having worked at another local practice prior to joining us. She has specialised for the majority of her career in the area of Family/Matrimonial Law and now heads up our busy Matrimonial Department. Sarah has been a member of The Law Society Family Law Panel since 1999 and is also a member of the Solicitors Family Law Association.

GEMMA MCKIMMIE

Gemma attended Beanfield Comprehensive School in Corby where she stayed on to do English and Business Studies at A level. On leaving school Gemma started work at Seatons as a Legal Secretary whilst also studying for her ILEX at Tresham College.

In 2006 Gemma passed her final ILEX exams and is now a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. Gemma is now a case handler for Residential Conveyancing and Wills and Probate. She enjoys working in a busy and successful Conveyancing Department

BARBARA HALL

After leaving Samuel Lloyds School in Corby, Barbara started work for a local firm of Solicitors as a Conveyancing Secretary/Assistant. She began training as a Legal Executive in 1974 and became an Associate Legal Executive in 1978, also in 1978 Barbara was employed as a Residential Conveyancer.

Barbara also deals with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Probate and some commercial matters. Barbara has nearly 30 years experience in residential conveyancing in and around Corby and therefore has a fantastic knowledge of the area. She has also acted for the Local Government in right to buys and for developers in sales of building plots.

MAUREEN BROWN

Maureen is a Corby girl who left school in 1981 to study for a law degree at Newcastle Polytechnic (now University of Northumbria) and was awarded an LLB (Hons) in 1984. Maureen went on to pass the Law Society Professional Exams and spent two years as an Articled Clerk with a local firm, qualifying as a solicitor in 1988. Maureen has practiced family and child care law since qualifying and has been a member of the Law Society’s’ Children Panel. Maureen joined Seatons in 2006.

ADAM CRESSWELL

Adam is from Solihull and studied the Postgraduate Diploma in Law at the College of Law of England and Wales in Birmingham before going on to the Bar vocational Course at the same College in London. He was called to the Bar at Middle Temple in 2005 and proceeded to take instruction mainly on insolvency matters in the County Court.

His expertise is Civil Litigation and Advocacy and has a keen eye for legal drafting and research. Adam has a firm commitment to access to justice for all and he is currently working on ways to make it easier for the public to gain redress through the Courts despite cuts in public funding.

MICAILA WILLIAMS

Micaila is from Essex and was called to the Bar in 2004 after the simple route of school, university and Bar School. Since then she has practiced as a Sole Practitioner in East Anglia and the surrounding area. She specialises in all forms of criminal law and has a keen interest in motoring offences. Recently, she has resumed her interest in PI work. Throughout her career, Micaila has seen first hand how the cut backs and the red tape in the Legal Aid System have pushed justice further out of the reach of those that need it the most. It is with this in mind, understanding the ethos of the firm, that she came to Seatons as a Consultant Barrister and is Duty Solicitor Accredited and Police Station Accredited.

ANGELA HUDSON

Angela graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Criminology at Nottingham Trent University in 2004. She then completed a second Degree in Law, graduating in 2006 from the same University. Following that, she completed a Diploma in Legal Practice at Nottingham Law School and she qualified as a Solicitor in 2010. Angela is a born-and-bred Corby girl, having studied at Lodge Park Technology College and completing work experience at Seatons back in 1999. Angela has always practised in Criminal Law, with particular expertise in Youth Court, Magistrates Court and Police Station work.

Amy began her legal career at the age of 15 as an office junior. She attended University of Derby and was awarded a First Class LLB in 2011. Amy then attended De Montfort University to study the Legal Practice Course receiving a Distinction.

Amy joined Seatons in 2012 initially focusing on Residential Care Claims. She has an interest in business and employment law.

SHONA DALZIEL

On leaving Kingswood Comprehensive School Shona attended Tresham College in Corby doing a Business and Secretarial Course. Shona then attended Tresham College in Kettering to do a BTEC National Certificate in Business and Finance incorporating Law and Sociology. Shona worked as a PA to the Managing Director of a small family run manufacturing firm from 1985 to 1994. Shona then joined Seatons in 1995 and initially worked for Mr Paul Seaton in the Criminal Department. She then joined the Matrimonial Department and worked for Sarah Chan in addition to working in the Criminal Department. In 1998 Shona joined the Personal Injury Department and now currently works as Legal Assistant to Adrian Chambers, a Partner and Solicitor in the firm.

RAY ARNOLD

Ray is a retired local businessman who joined Seatons in 2001 as their part time Will Writer. Ray has developed a good reputation as a friendly easygoing and professional Will Advisor.

ELAINE SEATON

Elaine has worked at Seatons since the company was originally formed in 1983. She initially started working for Paul Seaton as a Legal Secretary. During the late 1980s Elaine began her training in Legal Accounts. Elaine is now the Accounts Manager for Seatons and is a member of LAPM (Legal Accounts and Practice Management).

RENNIE SIMPSON

Rennie is from Leicestershire, and has lived in various parts of the country as part of his career in Finance. He studied Classics at Wyggeston Boys Grammar in Leicester, Archaeology and Anthropology at Caius College Cambridge, before working for his Accountancy qualification and an external London degree in Law, Economics and History whilst undertaking his accountancy traineeship in the commercial sector. He has spent over forty years in various finance roles, specialising in the last twenty years in the financial management of professional firms, including those of solicitors.
