INTRODUCTION
We do not condone in any way the use or abuse of drugs.
We advise that people should exercise discretion here, as only adults and not children should read the contents of this page.
WARNING
All illegal drugs have side effects which can be dangerous and even life threatening. There is no way of knowing what substances are put into drugs that are made or obtained illegally. Never be pressurised into taking or using drugs. Never use drugs without obtaining medical advice.
POSSESSION
It is a criminal offence to be in possession of any controlled drugs, unless you have a lawful reason to have them, such as your doctor having prescribed them. Controlled drugs include Narcotics such as cocaine and heroin, as well as amphetamines, LSD, Ecstasy, and cannabis.
USE
It is of course, a criminal offence to use a controlled drug. Also it is a criminal offence if you allow people to use, supply, or make controlled drugs on your premises.
SUPPLY
It is a criminal offence to offer or supply a controlled drug to another person. Therefore selling controlled drugs is of course illegal. Also offering drugs for free (say to share with another) is also illegal.
POLICE POWERS
If a police officer has reasonable grounds to suspect that someone is in possession of a controlled drug, then they have the power to search that person and their vehicle and home and seize any evidence.
GLUE SNIFFING
Glue is not a controlled drug and glue sniffing is not a criminal offence. However sniffing glue is very dangerous. It can seriously damage a person’s health and causes them to lose control of what they are doing. It is a criminal offence to supply a solvent to someone under 18 if there is reasonable cause to believe that the fumes might be inhaled.
MOTORING
It is a criminal offence if someone drives, or attempts to drive or, is in charge of a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.
